Independence Day
Glenn Beck wrote this today… (my emphasis added)
Other nations need to make military service mandatory-in this country, we stand as the world’s lone superpower because those with the right stuff stand up and choose to carry a gun and stand a post. We have the most powerful military on the planet and it’s not because of weapons and technology-it’s due to the character and commitment of our fighting men and women. A gun isn’t noble, brave or courageous…but the American carrying it is.
I really have nothing to add, other than I read that and got a lump in my throat. Happy Independence Day, Americans… Let’s not forget what it means.

C’mon man! You can’t say that anymore than you can say every American who refuses to carry a gun is honorable.
But seriously, what’s the deal with Star and Lil’s? Is it open again, or is Szuszka’s open again? Either way, I sampled their margaritas last weekend and Ernesto’s is in for some trouble! (OK, I sampled three of them and had trouble walking but I still remember them being very tasty)
lol… Star & Szuszka’s is what I’ve been calling it. It actually seems to have patrons for a change too! I might have to give it a try soon, but I liked Szuszka’s.
I’ve never been big on Ernesto’s margies, but they had a waitress there I was pretty sweet on. 😉 Oh.. and she and her partner could sure mix a mean sidecar!!
