Not a whole lot new going on. I ran tonight, felt really good! You know what one of the greatest motivators is when you’re running? Cheerleaders!! LOL I was just finishing my run tonight, hit my 20 minutes and was about to just walk the rest of the way home, but there were 2 cheerleaders practicing their routines in their front yard. You just CAN’T stop running in front of cheerleaders! LOL…well at least I can’t. 😉 In all honesty though, it was a great run. Farthest and longest I’ve gone yet!

I’m thinking about getting a bike. I think a little cross-training would do my knees and shins some good. One of the guys I work with is a hard-core cyclist and he’s recommended a few bikes for me for starting out and just riding…not racing or anything. I’m looking at the Specialized Sirrus. Apparently I can get a great deal on one from the Mountain Man Ski Shop in Toledo. If that doesn’t work, I can just camp out on eBay and find one.

My bud Nora is at band camp this week. It’s bringing back lots of memories from YEARS ago. Let’s see…my first band camp would have been the summer of ’84. Wow…that’s almost 20 years. No matter how much fun is made of it (this one time…at band camp…) it was a great time, it was a great learning experience and it was a great part of growing up! I think Maryellen and I will go up to Lakeside Thursday for the end-of-camp concert and show. It’ll be cool to see the place again and I think Nora will appreciate the support.

I think I may have finally found facial hair I like.
