It fascinates me how dead people can continue to enjoy fame and fortune. I’m thinking of the recent deaths of people like Kurt Kobain, Tupac, Aaliah, etc…
Nirvana just released a “new” album with Kobain singing….Tupac has had numerous CD’s released since he died, Aaliah, has starred in a movie and has had a cd since her death. Tupac in particular just seems to keep right on rolling from the grave. I don’t like any of these artists or I’d probably be thrilled that they can continue to come up with new material years after their deaths, but as a casual observer…it just bugs me. If this music was around when they were alive…which, think about it…it had to be. Why wasn’t it released then!? Because it SUCKED!! This is record companies and management capitalizing on the notariety associated with an early demise, releasing second-rate cuts that weren’t good enough to make it through the screening process the first time around.

Yup, these people are the Elvises (Elvi?) of “our” generation….pretty soon the Weekly World News will have stories that they are all living in some alien abduction infested trailer park in Alabama…
The trailer park is actually in Arkansas.
Saturday Night Live(I think) did a sketch on this same topic. It was around the time when the “new” Beatles song Free as a Bird came out. The skit was something like the were taking a snipet from John Lennon’s answering machine and sampling an entire song out of it and selling it for mad $$$. It was funny at the time…
Tupac is still alive. That’s why he has so many new albums coming out.

I think that all these singers are wonder full and like they say Aaliah is a angle sent from heaven and the shit that some people are talking on here is messed up and the music doesnt suck so please think about what you are saying before you say it.
