Pumped, psyched, and excited!!
So, I got an email from Trent yesterday asking if I would be available on Thursday night to go with him through the GM Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, Mi. Apparently he’s never been there, but has the opportunity to take a few guests through.
Now, not knowing a whole lot about it, I said “Sure!” because one, Trent’s cool and wouldn’t “steer” me wrong (pun intended), and two, I love cars, and anything named the “GM Heritage Center” has to be, at the very least, mildly entertaining, right?
Well, I did a little Googling and lo and behold, this place sounds freaking COOL!! It’s practically a museum of GM’s concepts and one-offs, production cars, and racing interests for the past century or so. Things like the Trans Am Wagon… the mid-engine Corvette…CART and IMSA cars… experimental electric vehicles, etc…
Once I knew a little more about it, I asked if cameras are allowed… they are! 🙂 Look for info about my visit and pictures by the weekend! I have a feeling I’m going to feel like a kid in a candy store!
