It’s been a while since I’ve posted… and in all honesty, I just really haven’t FELT much like posting. Lots going on, but, for the most part, I don’t feel like getting on the computer and typing more at the end of the day. Been putting at least 9 and often many more hours in every day and usually at least 4 – 5 more on the weekends. I’ve been a little tired of computers… Now there’s a pile of 40+ Dell laptops at work that need configured and distributed to the masses over the next couple weeks… I’ll be doing nothing but that. No, that’s not true, I’ll be doing EVERYTHING but that, because that’s just how it works. If I have a task to get done, I’ll get paged all freaking day long and won’t be able to move forward on the task at hand. It never fails.

Anyhow… My buddy Trent had his last day at Glasstech today. He’s going to Germany for grad school next week. What an amazing opportunity for him. I’ve never met a kid that has known exactly what he wants to do and is doing everything right to get there like Trent is doing it. Very impressive! He’ll be a Porsche engineer in a couple of years… Mark my words.

Had BLT’s tonight. Delish!!! (had them last night too!!) Nothing better than fresh-from-the-garden tomatoes. Also ate a melon that we grew for dessert. Maybe we should just be farmers. LOL

The countdown to BG football continues. Lots of expectations this season. It’ll be interesting to see how everything pans out. Just over a week to the season opener against Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium!!

Had a great e-mail conversation with one of my all-time favorite people and friends today. 🙂 Our communication is usually sparse, but today was great and a real spirit lifter. So, thanks for that, AJ!!

Guess that’s about it for now. We’re over 4 months now w/o television. I’ve probably only missed it once or twice… and that was just a pang for This Old House for some odd reason. I’ll probably hook things back up for the Wisky game next weekend… but it’s been a really liberating and fascinating 4 month experiment. I challenge everyone to just turn it off for a couple days and see how you feel!! You can get all the info and entertainment you need from the radio (preferably XM) and the Internet IMO… Give it a shot!!
